Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt: Development, design and acceptance of environmentally friendly consumer goods
Konsum
Sustainable consumption is currently still characterized by many challenges. For consumers, it is often not clear which product is the most climate- and environmentally friendly, and manufacturers often lack the necessary incentives to make their products more environmentally friendly. This is particularly disadvantageous for products that can have a long service life. These include furniture, household appliances, electronic devices, textiles and vehicles.
The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German Federal Foundation for the Environment) would therefore like to promote the development of more sustainable product development concepts, resource-saving production with a consistent life cycle, digitalization measures that create added value for the environment and climate, and the education of consumers.
