The second winner of the Wettbewerble introduces…
What does Cradle2Cradle mean and what does your regional group stand for? "Cradle to Cradle" is a counter design to the current linear economy, where valuable resources are taken from the planet according to the "cradle to grave" concept to produce products & product systems with short-lived life cycles and not properly disposed of or reused afterwards. C2C stands out from a circular economy in that it is also about spreading a new school of thought and philosophy in the environmental and sustainability context, as humans are seen as beneficials rather than pests, and the image of a positive rather than negative footprint informs the "Cradle to Cradle" vision. People need positive narratives to make their future a better place and this is what we are actively working for in our Stuttgart regional group. Especially the educational and networking work is in focus, which is concretely shown by teaching assignments and events at universities and colleges in the area, the supervision of trade fair booths or the construction of the "Klimamobil" as a real example of the C2C vision. You applied to the competition with your project "Klimamobil". What is the "Klimamobil" and what do you want to achieve with the project? In times of climate change and increasing environmental problems, the topic of sustainability is becoming more and more important. In order to raise awareness for sustainable action in society, we as the C2C Regional Group Stuttgart have launched an innovative project: the Klimamobil. This mobile educational project, which will be made from Cradle to Cradle (C2C) components, aims to spread knowledge about sustainable concepts such as C2C and promote cooperation between different stakeholders. In order to successfully develop and implement the Klimamobil, we would like to bring together different partners, including universities, companies and other institutions. This cooperation will enable the exchange of knowledge and expertise to make the Klimamobil both functional and environmentally friendly. Through the use of C2C components, the Klimamobil will become a showcase for sustainable construction and demonstrate how ecological responsibility can be combined with innovative design. A key element of the Klimamobil is its educational concept, which aims to impart knowledge about sustainable methods such as cradle-to-cradle. This concept includes various educational offerings, such as workshops, lectures and interactive activities for different target groups. Pupils, students as well as professionals and decision makers are addressed in order to achieve the broadest possible impact. In order to make the development and implementation of the Climate Mobile transparent and comprehensible for all participants and interested parties, the documentation of the project is regularly updated and published. This transparent reporting makes it possible to follow the progress of the project and at the same time gain important insights for future projects in the field of sustainability and climate protection. The Klimamobil is a groundbreaking project that aims to demonstrate how different actors from the sustainability and climate scene can work together on innovative solutions. By combining sustainable design, educational outreach and transparent reporting, the Climate Mobile helps raise awareness of environmental responsibility and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. What would you like to use the prize money you won in the competition for? We would like to use the prize money to create engaging marketing materials. One of the main goals of this marketing initiative is to find dedicated collaborators and project partners who can bring both their expertise and passion to the project. In addition, the prize money won will be invested in the preliminary technical planning of the project. Our goal is to receive funding from the Stuttgart Climate Innovation Fund for the implementation of the project.
